OUR MISSION

Baristas vs. Billionaires tells the story of a generation discovering its voice and learning that ordinary people can shape extraordinary change.

What began as an effort to organize one Starbucks store in Buffalo became a national movement that sparked conversations about work, democracy, and the future of the American dream. Through the experiences of the workers at the center of this story, the film explores universal themes of dignity, courage, community, and the power of collective action.

Our mission is to inspire meaningful dialogue about the challenges and possibilities facing working people, businesses, and communities today.

We believe the film resonates across political, economic, and generational lines because it is a human story. It is about individuals finding the courage to stand up for their values, working together toward common goals, and shaping the future they want to see.

Through screenings, educational outreach, community partnerships, and public conversations, we seek to foster greater understanding, civic engagement, and hope. At a time when division dominates public discourse, Baristas vs. Billionaires reminds us that progress begins when people come together, listen to one another, and believe that their voices matter.

Baristas vs. Billionaires is an inspiring story of collective action against corporate power and the emotional toll of the fight for dignity and respect in the workplace.
