We're Raising Funds for Grassroots, Self-Distribution!

The traditional Hollywood distribution system is largely broken for independent documentary films, particularly those focused on social justice and labor issues. Important stories often struggle to reach the audiences that need to see them most.

Baristas vs. Billionaires tells the story of young Starbucks workers standing up for dignity, a living wage, and the right to organize. Rather than waiting for traditional distributors, we're taking the film directly to workers, students, unions, and communities across the country.

Help Amplify the Voices of Starbucks Workers

Funds raised will support:

  • Grassroots screenings with Starbucks Workers United, labor unions, universities, and community organizations nationwide.

  • Streaming access for Starbucks workers and organizers, helping the film reach the people whose story it tells.

  • Audience-building and outreach campaigns through social media, labor media, and grassroots networks.

  • Educational materials and discussion guides that transform the film into a tool for organizing, education, and action.

  • Our Academy Awards campaign, which could dramatically increase the film's visibility, media attention, and international reach.

  • Merchandise and supporter programs that help sustain the film's long-term impact and expand its audience.

The young workers featured in this film are helping to revitalize the American labor movement and showing a new generation that collective action can still create meaningful change. Every contribution helps bring their story directly to workers and communities across America. Together, we can help amplify the voices of Starbucks workers and support a new generation fighting for economic justice and workplace democracy.
